Joanna and I are meandering through San Francisco from an early morning flight to Oakland on our way to the Point Reyes National Seashore. Joanna was hungry for breakfast and I needed life saving coffee. So we stopped at Pat's Cafe and ate delicious food. I had an omelette and Joanna had sausage gravy and biscuits. I especially loved the potatoes fried with rosemary. We ate breakfast here 10 years ago. It was good then and it's good now.

Service excellence food delicious Clean establishment Greeted us as soon as we came in

Great spot for a casual brunch or lunch. Love the BLT. Service was quick and good people watching inside.

Great spot. Small diner ambience with very friendly staff. Ordered breakfast food to go and when I arrived, my order was ready to go and hot off of the griddle. Staff was incredibly helpful and even offered me a coffee to go with my order; which, naturally, I needed. Food was delicious, as breakfast should be. I had the Mexican omelet with toast and fruit. My wife had the ham croissant and a jelly bagel. Excellent. First breakfast place we tried in San Francisco for our short trip, but we will likely return. Highly recommended!

Nowadays coming out of the pandemic and finding an original SF hole-in-the-wall cafe/diner is challenging but Pat's is it! Good real breakfast brunch lunch food is delicious! You'll always find the place full with people but little to no wait for a seat. I can recommend trying the Benedict plates and the morning coffee is fresh.

Our family has been visiting Pats Cafe for over 15 years. It's a cozy, family-oriented spot that attracts travelers from all over. Recently, Pat added a new item to her menu, and it turned out to be one of the best breakfasts I've ever had! Try the Ciabatta Avocado Toast with sunny side up eggs and arugula, served with a beautiful salad. The Eggs Benedict are the best in SF, and her crepes are outstanding. Visit and you will not be disappointed! The service is impeccable!

Arriving at 10:30am on a Sunday and only one couple in the entire place made me a little nervous - were the reviews wrong? Had the place shifted owners and fallen from grace? Uh oh... Anyway, I sat down, was promptly asked if I wanted something to drink and handed the menu. Coffee arrived before I had read through the menu, nice. Pondered the options for a while and settled on the veggie hash with sunny side up eggs, toast and slices of bacon as an extra. As I was waiting for my food the place started to fill up! I needed have worried! By the time my food arrived the place was pleasantly buzzing with conversations from more than half of the tables, and by the time I finished my plate the restaurant was almost full. Never loud though, just a pleasant background noise to fill the space. Definitely glad I stopped by, the hash was great and the eggs cooked perfectly!

Came to Pat's Cafe because it was close to the hotel. The vibe is cute diner, pretty small. There were a mix of locals and tourists, but it wasn't very busy. The food was normal, nothing spectacular - just a simple breakfast. Staff were very friendly and service was relatively quick.

Pat's Cafe is a great local place for those seeking a quick and fun breakfast. Their menu boasts a variety of classic breakfast options, all well prepared. During our visit, we had the pleasure of trying a couple of specialty items: the smoked salmon benedict and the crab cake benedict, both of which were excellent. The ambiance at Pat's is a colorful and enjoyable one. The walls are adorned with artwork crafted by local artists, all available for purchase. The service was warm and inviting, making for an overall recommendation for Pete's as a casual breakfast destination offering delicious food at reasonable prices.
